2-Ingredient Banana Bread (Base Recipe)

Moist, naturally sweet, and unbelievably easy.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 large eggs

That’s it. No flour, no sugar, no butter.

Detailed Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven
    • Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a small loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas
    • Peel bananas and place them in a bowl.
    • Mash very well with a fork until smooth and creamy (no big lumps).
  3. Add the eggs
    • Crack eggs directly into the mashed bananas.
    • Whisk vigorously until fully combined and slightly frothy.
    • The batter will be thin—this is normal.
  4. Pour and level
    • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
    • Gently tap the pan on the counter to remove air bubbles.
  5. Bake
    • Bake for 30–35 minutes, until set in the center and lightly golden on top.
    • A toothpick should come out mostly clean.
  6. Cool properly
    • Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
    • Slice once completely cooled for best texture.

Creamy Center (Like the Picture – Optional Upgrade)

Mix together:

  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1–2 tbsp honey or sweetener

How to add it:

  1. Pour half the banana batter into the pan
  2. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly
  3. Top with remaining batter
  4. Bake as usual

Tips

  • 🍌 The riper the bananas, the sweeter the bread
  • ❄ Chill before slicing for cleaner cuts
  • ✨ Add cinnamon or vanilla if you want more flavor (still basically foolproof!)
